I would like to use THIS POST for group members to thank/congratulate those facilities and/or corporate offices who have made an earnest effort to comply with HB3961 which requires facilities who have a website to post the state ombudsman info/phone number on it. We are almost never facility specific in this group but let's make this the exception and share POSITIVE news about facilities that are making an effort to comply with HB3961 that took effect Jan 1, 2022.
PLEASE DO NOT start listing facilities and sites where you cannot locate the ombudsman phone number. Those non-compliant sites are easy to find so I'll be deleting those posts. What I want to see are facilities going in the right direction.
I'll start with Pecan Point in Sherman because they (1) not only put the phone number on the HOME page where a family member would logically search for help and did not bury the phone number in the massive website but (2) they also put the specific ombudsman phone number instead of the minimum requirement of the 1-800 number which, to me, goes above and beyond. So, thank you, Pecan Point! https://frontiermgmt.com/.../pecan-point-assisted-living.../
What I have yet to see (and hope some of you can point to some) are facilities that fulfill the bill's requirement to include "information regarding the office ’s role as an advocate for residents of long-term care facilities". This can be even a single sentence. But I've not seen one yet. Hope some of you are seeing it! (EDIT: FOUND ONE! It's in the comments)
